Stora Enso Group Taxes is providing internal tax consultancy services. Our task is to ensure that the business will be carried out in a tax efficient way and in accordance with domestic and international regulations. We are currently based in Finland, Sweden, China and Germany.

We are now looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join Taxes Finland in Helsinki.

Description

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious person, who will be responsible for Group Tax Reporting, Tax Footprint, Stora Enso’s tax matters in Austria, Germany and Czech Republic and the coordination of group-related VAT matters.

Your primary task, Tax Reporting and Tax Footprint, includes:

  • Structuring and leading the process for tax reporting (IFRS IAS 12) and Tax Footprint
  • Preparation of instructions and trainings
  • Improving the standardization and automation of our processes, including Robotics applications
  • Active communication with parties involved in the process chain, e.g. accounting, Regional Tax Managers and statutory auditors

In addition, you have the opportunity to work with:

Tax matters in Austria, Germany and Czech Republic:

  • Development of tax optimized structures
  • Tax audits
  • Tax compliance
  • Tax advisory service for group companies
  • Collaboration with local tax consultants
  • Transfer Pricing and local Transfer Pricing Documentation
  • Project work

Group-related VAT matters:

  • Monitoring the development of EU-VAT and analysing potential impact for Stora Enso
  • Preparation of instructions and trainings
  • Review of IT structure, internal policies and business processes from a VAT perspective

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and competences:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international taxation
  • University degree in Business Administration
  • Profound tax skills in international taxation and as an advantage tax skills in Austrian, German or Czech tax legislation
  • Experience with Robotics applications
  • Beside good knowledge of MS Office Programs, experience in SAP and Oracle/HFM or equal are needed
  • Good cooperation and communication skills
  • Fluent English and as an advantage German or Czech language skills
  • Willingness to take initiative, accept responsibility and ability to work both independently and within an international team
  • Good knowledge of IT systems: MS Office programs, SAP R/3, Hyperion or equal
  • Flexibility and readiness to travel.
