We are now looking for a Senior Specialist, Communications to UPM Stakeholder Relations’ biggest Business Area, UPM Communication Papers in Helsinki, Finland.

What you’ll do 

  • Act as a member of the UPM Communication Papers Stakeholder Relations Management Team 
  • Act as a business partner for one of the UPM Communication Papers Strategic Business Units, responsible for the business targeting news publishers and retailers 
  • Take responsibility of developing and implementing digital marketing approaches and lead the redesign of our digital promotion and product information channels
  • Lead on the implementation of digital promotion strategies and the reformulation of our channel management strategy
  • Establish and implement a promotion strategy for the Strategic Business Unit’s product groups
  • Plan and coordinate implementation of related marketing communications activities
  • Manage an agenda for events, exhibitions, seminars, and conferences 
  • Manage a content plan for owned and earned media channels
  • Support product launches and go-to-market initiatives through targeted and measurable communications activities
  • Act as a partner for Sales and enable effective customer interaction through innovative sales support approaches
  • Define specific internal communications needs and ensure implementation as part of an overarching internal communications agenda
  • Support the Strategic Business Unit in handling internal and external communications needs with a focus on the Finnish market

Who you are 

  • You have a Master’s Degree in business, marketing or related subjects
  • You have proven knowledge of standard communication approaches and channels
  • You have proven expertise in working as a close partner to sales as well as in product marketing, promotion campaign planning and implementation
  • You have proven expertise in utilizing sustainability as a competitive advantage in marketing
  • You are experienced in establishing digital marketing and promotion activities and managing related channels and tools
  • You have interest and proven expertise in working with digital communication channels as a central element of marketing and customer engagement
  • Your written and spoken English is fluent and you will also benefit from knowing other languages
  • You have worked in international companies and teams
  • You are innovative strategic thinker
