We are now looking for a

Senior Specialist, Communications and Marketing Analytics to join the Aalto University communications team

Do you believe that communications and marketing decisions should be supported by data and analytics? Do you know your way around web and social media analytics as well as media monitoring tools? Do you have a knack for digging into data, spotting trends and creating reports?

If you answered yes, you might just be the person we are looking for!

The importance of solid analytics and reporting to support the right strategic and tactical choices in managing communications and marketing is constantly increasing. In this role, you will both ensure our operational data gathering and analysis and help other communications professionals develop their analytical skills. You will be working closely with the Communications Director and the Communications Management Team. In your work you will be surrounded by highly talented and creative colleagues from the Aalto University communications and marketing team.

This is a permanent full-time position.

Your role and goals

You will support the management of Aalto’s communications, marketing and brand with sound analytics and reporting, helping us become more data-driven. You will also work closely with the communications leadership in developing data-enabled communications management practices and annual planning. In addition, you will coordinate media monitoring practices, and oversee digital analytics and reports, including websites, traditional and social media and various marketing campaigns.

Finally, you will get to work with various professionals across the university and participate in the university’s analytics development network.

Your experience and skills

In order to be successful in this role, the qualities we consider important are:

A university degree or equivalent in an applicable field;
Excellent knowledge of relevant data and analytics tools, Google Analytics in particular
Ability to produce timely and useful analysis and reports to support strategic management
Understanding of the functionalities of digital marketing analytics
A demonstrable understanding of media and social media monitoring service landscape and tools
Excellent ability to plan and handle multiple projects simultaneously
