Senior Specialist, Application Security

We are looking for a Senior Specialist, Application Security to join our Metso Outotec IT Applications team in Espoo or Tampere.

As Senior Specialist, Application Security, you will own and coordinate all aspects of Metso Outotec’s global Application teams Cyber and Information Security and Risk, whilst keeping a close connection with stakeholders in the Metso Outotec business and Metso Outotec IT.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

This position holder is responsible for maintaining a corporate-wide Global Application Cyber and Information Security and Risk Management function to ensure in cooperation with application owners and specialists, that all applications and related assets are adequately protected and secured, including end to end Stakeholder Management for all Application Cyber and Information Security and Risk topics.

Your role covers end to end lifetime of global application cyber & information security and risk from strategy, service & technology design, service & technology transition to operations, continual development and improvement.

You will work closely with global Applications team application owners, IT Security & Risk Management, Enterprise and Solution Architects and other Metso Outotec IT and business stakeholders.

To succeed

To succeed in this role, you should have a good understanding of Cyber and Information Security and Risk topics and at least 5 years’ experience in Cyber and/or information security and risk roles with experience of working with IT stakeholders and business executives. Although not a prerequisite, a good understanding of Agile and Lean ways of working, ITIL and other related frameworks and best practices is preferable.
