Senior Revenue Accounting Manager

To support the growth of our global Finance team, we’re now looking for an experienced Senior Revenue Accounting Manager to join our team in Espoo, Finland. In this position, you will report to the VP Finance Operations.

As a Senior Revenue Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the global revenue- management, period-end close and AR activities, work closely with other members of the Finance team as well as partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Sales Operations, Legal, Contract Delivery and Customer Operations.

We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on individual who can take ownership, anticipate, and wrestle down problems and do what it takes to achieve the results. In addition, you need to be reliable, diligent and detail oriented.

We need to achieve highest precision in our Finance processes - like our SAR technology that allows clear pictures regardless of the conditions. 

Responsibilities: 

• Act as a revenue expert and partner to evaluate and advise other stakeholders on revenue recognition impact of complex/ non-standard contracts and new products

• Ensure global revenue recognition of financials in accordance with IFRS 15

• Own period-end revenue close procedures, including detailed contract review and preparing memos for such contracts

• Drive continuous improvement for revenue accounting and associated reporting for all respective processes, policies, controls, and systems including billing

• Own billing and collection activities for units in scope of Central Finance team

• Act as a point of contact for auditors in O2C matters

• Provide support for ad-hoc projects as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance 

• Chartered or Certified Accountant qualification

• 7+ years of relevant revenue accounting experience

• Proficient knowledge of revenue recognition accounting in accordance with IFRS15 and Finnish GAAP

• Strong business acumen to be able to make pragmatic judgements about the potential
   deal structure trade-offs 

• Effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organization

• Hands-on and proactive self-starter who enjoys challenges

• Ability to make pragmatic judgements about the deal structure trade-offs between revenue recognition and commercial value to the business 

• Ability to manage competing priorities whilst working under pressure of tight deadlines and execute with accuracy and efficiency

• Experience building up scalable revenue recognition processes in a fast-paced tech environment preferred

• Prior experience performing revenue recognition and billing in NetSuite preferred
