Senior Purchaser, RWS Environmental Construction

Your role

We are looking for a Senior Purchaser, Environmental Construction (EC) to strengthen the Fortum's Corporate Procurement City Solutions Recycle and Waste Solutions Procurement team. As a Senior Purchaser, you shall execute EC project related procurement cases and ensure that materials and services are ordered according to business needs and timelines. Most of the procurement work is related to projects that are sold outside Fortum to external customers in Finland, some cases also in Sweden. You have also ability to execute procurement cases in other City Solutions business areas if needed.

You will be working close with EC project business, shall report to Procurement Manager, Recycle and Waste Solutions, shall be member of RWS procurement team and are participating your business area procurement development. Your other responsibilities include tasks such as creating negotiating tactics for generating best possible end result for the organization, contribute to optimize purchasing processes and developing procurement support systems, educate the rest of the organization in purchasing and systems issues, executing procurement projects in close co-operation with business area project teams, managing spend within own business area. Location of the job is Fortum RWS office at Riihimäki, Finland, however other locations can be considered. This job also requires frequent travelling to project sites, especially in Finland.

Your qualifications

You have relevant degree in a relevant field such as Civil engineering or project procurement. You should also have an experience related to civil project procurement or sales. You also need to have good collaboration and project management skills. Furthermore, you have strong problem solving and analytical skills, proven negotiation skills and the ability to challenge established ways of working. In addition, you are fluent in oral and written Finnish and have good English language skills. You are also willing and have ability to travel within Finland and Sweden.
