Senior Procurement Manager

We are now looking for a

Senior Procurement Manager

to the Valve technology center in Vantaa to lead our Purchasing operations.

Introduction

As a Senior Procurement Manager, you are responsible for heading all purchasing operations in Neles Vantaa plant. You are responsible of our global suppliers and spend. You will lead our supplier’s performance together with your team. You will actively develop our sourcing and purchasing strategy together with our global sourcing.

The amount of personnel in your area is 13 including 3 category managers. In addition to straight reports there are 5 byers who report to the plant managers and in matrix to you. You have budget responsibility according to annual plans and KPI's. You are a member of Helsinki Plant management team and you report to the Plant Director.

What will you bring to our team?

You have minimum 8 years of experience in operational procurement or management and a master’s degree in supply chain management, technical field, or economics.

You are equipped with the following skills:

• Strong leadership and negotiation skills
• Solid operational management and general business skills and sense
• Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills
• In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
• Working knowledge of finance in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting, risk management, etc.
• Supplier challenges solving and expediting skills
• Experience with modern sourcing and procurement systems
• You are familiar with ERP systems; experience in M3 is an asset
• Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk
• Knowhow of working with foundries is an asset
• You are fluent in English and Finnish, both written and verbal
