As an expert in marketing and reaching target audiences with the right message at the right time and in the right channel, you enjoy continuous development based on data and results. As Senior Marketing Specialist, together with the marketing team and our external partners you develop, plan, implement and measure marketing strategies and tactics to make sure best students internationally choose to apply to Aalto University. You will drive, develop and implement digital customer journeys and optimise both our web pages and other own media and the marketing campaigns we run. You work closely with our six schools and our other internal and external partners. In your role, you will report to Head of Marketing, Jutta Kasslin, and you will be an integral part of the marketing team in Aalto’s Communication Services.
Your main responsibilities would be
To drive, develop and implement Aalto’s student marketing in Finland and internationally
To create customer journeys and plan and develop actions around it, creating a seamless customer experience together with our internal partners
To develop content strategy and execution for own, earned, shared and paid channels together with internal and external partners
To run and optimise marketing campaigns in digital channels
To define targets and goals for the campaigns as well as measuring and analysing the data to improve results, creating insight and foresight, reporting the findings and developing Aalto’s student marketing activities based on them
To develop marketing as a whole, both from result and process point of view, based on data
To be successful in this role you need to have a strong background in digital marketing and be familiar with the tools, content creation and marketing development. A strategic and analytical mindset together with passionate, hands-on way of working is a combination that we value. In addition to your solid digital marketing expertise you are able to coach others with a positive and encouraging attitude.
What we value
Relevant experience in digital marketing, preferably for at least 3–5 years
Customer-centric approach to marketing
Creative mindset combined with analytical and strategic thinking
A good understanding of impactful content creation, both in own and paid media
Previous experience of Google Ads, Google Analytics and FB Business manager tools is valued. Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is an advantage.
Strong teamworking skills, excellent networking skills and ability to influence and collaborate in a matrix organization with many stakeholders as well as work with external partners (creative agencies, media agency, analytics agency)
Strong project management skills with the ability to plan and lead multiple projects with internal and external partners simultaneously
Innovative mind-set and positive attitude towards driving change
Curiosity to learn
Fluency in spoken and written Finnish and English.
