The British Embassy in Helsinki is part of a world-wide network representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking for a Senior Market Adviser (maternity leave cover).
Department for International Trade’s Trade & Investment section works with UK-based businesses to ensure UK-based companies’ success in international markets and encourage the best overseas companies to look to the UK as their global partner of choice. The open position is in the section’s Investment area.
Senior Market Adviser (Investment) works to increase high quality foreign direct investment from Finland to the UK. This involves identifying Finnish companies interested in establishing a presence in the UK or expanding existing operations through various lead generation activities, and assisting companies in setting up a subsidiary in the UK or expanding by providing market information and advice in collaboration with DIT’s networks in the UK. The Senior Market Adviser is expected to collaborate with other sections of the British Embassy on joint initiatives.

This is a full-time temporary contract of 36.25 hours per week for a maternity cover.
The appointment is subject to professional background check, security clearance and the successful completion of a probationary period.
