We are now looking for a Senior Manager, Global Talent Development to join our small but effective global team and lead our EMEA talent management professionals.
You will be responsible for developing and running several global training programs focusing on our strategic capability development, starting from vendor selection and ending with taking care of the smallest detail to ensure the participants get a top-class learning experience. You will be the owner of our competence framework, and guide businesses to run competence and skill evaluations in a value-adding way when requested. You use your coaching skills when giving 360 feedbacks to our line manager, and you are available to give pedagogical guidance when the businesses develop their own learning solutions.
In the EMEA Talent Management Team leader role you will lead a small team ensuring that our global initiatives are rolled out in EMEA and the local development needs are met. Your days are filled with tasks varying from operational hands-on work to strategic initiatives and everything in between. You will work with HR and business colleagues around the world in various talent management projects, which varying from process development to creating a learning solution. You report to Vice President, Talent Management and in matrix to VP, HR Operations.
You’ll succeed in this role if
You have solid experience in creating development solutions with 70/20/10 approach and measurable impact
You’ve worked closely with external partners and can build a win-win relationship
You have a track record of running smaller and bigger projects efficiently
You’ve worked in various HR roles and know what the day of an HR Manager looks like
You have ideas on how to use data to support talent development
You know how to use change management methodologies to ensure stakeholder buy in
You understand that boring routines are sometimes part of even the most exciting job
You are a team player who gets the biggest kicks when others succeed
You are ready to travel approximately up to 10 weeks / year
You have the needed basics in place: suitable education (Master’s degree in relevant field), more than five years of relevant work experience, strong MS Office skills and excellent written and spoken English

About the recruitment process: If this sounds a right place for you and you meet the requirements, please submit your application with CV and salary request as soon as possible, but latest on Wednesday, 5th April. After video screening the first face-to-face interviews will take place on Monday, 17th April in Espoo, and the second round on Friday 28th April. There is an assessment center in between.
Valmet is building a completely new, shared office building in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa for its employees currently working in Järvenpää and some of its employees currently working in Hakkila, Vantaa. We will move into the new offices in early 2025.
