Senior Legal Counsel

As a Senior Legal Counsel at foodora you will be primarily responsible for most legal matters of our Finnish business. You will report to our regional Head of Legal in Berlin and work closely with the rest of our European legal team as well as with colleagues at Delivery Hero’s regional and central headquarters.

Your mission: 

• Advising management on all things legal

• Drafting commercial contracts and partnership agreements and negotiating those with our largest accounts

• Regularly drafting or revising general terms and conditions applicable to our customers, partners, and products

• Continuously advising on legal requirements relating to launching new businesses or developing and expanding our existing businesses

• Monitoring of legal trends and legislative changes in the local market in a number of fields, primarily in relation to platform companies, consumer protection, employment law, competition law, and logistics but also other relevant areas for our businesses

• Holding  trainings and creating awareness within the organisation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies

• Day-to-day legal matters relating to the Finnish business

• Assisting in public relations questions and initiatives on public policy

You are: 

• Solution-oriented: You possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, focusing on ways to solve the tasks in a legally accurate yet pragmatic and timely manner

• Structured: You can create structure even in the most unstructured environment.

• Business minded: Our legal team members are business-enablers and constant sparring partners to our commercial and operational teams where your business mindset will come well in hand!

• Team player: You are a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and have a way to convey legal concepts and requirements in simple words for an audience of non-lawyers

Qualifications:

• You are a fully-qualified lawyer with a university degree

• You have at least four years experience from a law firm or as an in-house counsel working with a variety of commercial and regulatory legal topics

• You communicate fluently in Finnish and English, orally and in writing

• It will be considered a plus if you have experience from tech, platforms, FMCG and logistics/last mile delivery and other fast paced-environments such as start ups
