Aalto University Foundation is now looking for a

(Senior) Legal Counsel, specialized in employment law

Your main area of responsibility is to provide legal expert support to our University management and HR Services with a special focus on employment law. The work includes proactive management of legal risks and compliance within your area(s) of responsibility by counselling, advising and participating in dispute resolution. You also actively provide training and work on developing internal guidelines, toolkits, and best practices on various legal and administrative topics.

We expect

In order to succeed in this job, you need to have:

• A master's degree in law;
• At least 5 years of the relevant legal experience in field of employment law, preferably as in-house legal counsel at corporation or non-profit organization or at law firm. Additional experience in fields of data protection, compliance and governance are an advantage;
• Ability to work independently on demanding employment law cases;
• Solution oriented, service-minded and team player attitude combined with high degree of integrity;
• Professional and systematic working style;
• Strong communication, negotiation and decision making skills;
• Ability to learn quickly and integrate to academic environment;
• Excellent written and verbal command of Finnish and English.
