In our Electric Vehicle Business Line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

Job description

We are looking for a Solution Specialist focusing the different Integrations to join our Valmet Automotive EV Power ICT team. Our growing team is responsible for the development and maintenance of Valmet Automotive’ s business systems for all plants in Europe. Your primary assignment will be to support battery production, new customer and ICT development projects, together with our business representatives and external partners. If required your expertise can also be utilized in in car manufacturing -related activities as we work in close co-operation with the ICT Team responsible for car manufacturing.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing new integrations between VA’s business systems, end customers’ systems and part suppliers. You will manage existing interfaces in close co-operation with business representatives and other IT solution owners.

You are an expert in interpreting business needs and can analyze functional and technical specifications with the target to create new integrations between critical business systems. You create specifications, time schedules, budgetary plans and documentation within your field of expertise. You engage in projects as a team player but are also able to work independently on assignments with the target to implement new solutions, design, deploy and offer key user support. You regularly take part in operative meetings and take part in the change management of our existing integration landscape.

In this position also close co-operation and management of external IT service providers is required. Other responsibilities and tasks include for development management, process development, change management, testing, key user support and problem solving.

Your primary location can be either our office in Turku, Salo or Uusikaupunki.

We consider you to have the following qualifications to succeed in this position

• B.Eng. or M.Sc. in Information Technology or relevant field

• Former experience in IBM MQ, EDI or other technologies related to system integrations as well as industry related IT guidelines are considered beneficial

• Experience in working in a company operating as a Tier1 supplier to automotive or similar industries is an asset

• Excellent networking and problem-solving skills

• Experience from SAP or other ERP systems is considered highly beneficial. Also understanding of other systems which are integrated with ERP are considered as an advantage

• Fluent English is required, Finnish as an advantage

• We expect good presentation, documentation and planning skills

• You are an active, innovative person interested in learning and expanding your knowledge
