Senior Group Accounting Manager

Senior Group Accounting Manager
Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer
Job role and purpose:
We are seeking a Senior Group Accounting Manager to lead and manage 3stepIT's accounting function. The Senior Group Accounting Manager will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with relevant laws, and contributing to the ongoing development of our accounting systems and procedures.
Key responsibilities include leading and managing the group accounting team of four employees, as well as overseeing the monthly closing process to ensure accurate and timely reporting. This position requires preparing and consolidating monthly financial figures for all group entities, leading the annual report process, preparing consolidated financial statements in collaboration with the team, and overseeing the audit process with our auditing partner.
The Senior Group Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing the group’s consolidation tool, accounting software, and chart of accounts and participating in the ongoing transformation project between two accounting systems. They will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the group accounting manual and other financial guidelines, ensuring compliance with FAS and other relevant regulations. Additionally, the role involves monitoring tax and VAT regulations, handling parent company tax declarations, and reporting on international tax matters.

Qualifications and experience:
A relevant Master’s degree (e.g. Business Administration / Economic Sciences)
+10 years of working experience in accounting field
Experience working in an international company
A solid understanding of consolidation, accounting principles, financial statements, relevant laws and regulations
Demonstrated leadership abilities, experience in leading a team
Strong IT-skills, including consolidation tool, accounting software and Excel
Fluent Finnish and English, both spoken and written
Systematic and precise approach to working with numbers
Adaptability while maintaining focus on relevant matters
Excellent cooperation and communication skills
Positive, flexible and service minded attitude
