(Senior) Embedded Software Designer (C/C++)

(Senior) Embedded Software Designer
as part of our Medical Imaging Device Software team.
In your work, you will develop new features for our imaging devices and be actively involved in every stage of product development. You will participate in imaging-related projects, give voice to new ideas and develop future solutions in a strong and dedicated team. We are a low-hierarchy product company, where you can have a genuine impact on the product and its technical design. To ensure a long product life cycle, we always work with a long-term strategy and to a high-quality standard.
Your versatile and stimulating job will include coding imaging device control software using C or C++ in line with your own interests and ideas. In addition to C/C++, the daily work also includes using tools and frameworks, such as FreeRTOS, Linux, Jenkins, git and BitBucket.

What we expect

- Several years’ professional experience using the C or C++ programming language
- Experience of working in a Linux environment
- Experience of embedded environments
- A suitable degree, such as an MSc, MA or a degree in engineering
- Teamwork skills and a genuine interest in collaborating both with and within teams
Preferred experience in some of the following areas:
- Writing software for:
o Motor drive circuits (Stepper, DC)
o Communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet)
o Sensor interfaces/filtering (optical, inductive, temperature)
- Real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS)
- Algorithm development
- Agile software development and CI.
