Senior Development Manager, Operational Excellence

We are currently looking for an experienced senior manager to develop our operations through selected strategically important IT and data management projects that are part of our defined digital platform vision. Each of the project has their own project teams with subject matter experts, but you would have the overall responsibility of this project portfolio.
Your main responsibilities and objectives in this role will be to lead and coordinate key development projects on the Business Line (BL) level globally, including our tools for product lifecycle management (PLM), engineering, and sales. In addition to this, you’ll lead data quality, security related initiatives in the BL and participate to data governance and concept development on Valmet level.
In more detail, you will create the project development roadmap with stakeholders, ensure transparent follow-up of implementation progress, support sub-projects in change management and communication as well as act as a business partner for our IT.
Expectations for you
- University level Degree in relevant field
- Several years of experience in development/IT project management and implementation
- Deep understanding of product management and development
- Strategic and forward-thinking mindset
- Flexibility and good change management skills
- Ability to make things happen through leadership, good communication and influencing skills.
- Fluent English is a must
- Relevant industry knowhow is an advantage.

The preferred locations for this role are Järvenpää, Jyväskylä or Tampere in Finland, or Karlstad in Sweden. Currently we are used to work remotely, but 2-3 days per week in one of those locations will be needed as we believe that it’s beneficial for the smooth collaboration.
