We are now looking for a professional with a data driven mindset to work in a challenging global role based in Finland in Espoo as

Senior Data Scientist


• Responsible to design, develop and apply advanced and predictive analytics methods and approaches for pattern recognition, trend analysis and anomaly detection to ensure high quality of data collected in ongoing clinical trials
• Responsible to analyse operational data to increase efficiency and efficacy of different business processes and data quality measures
• Understand business context, analyze options and develop user requirements
• Explore, understand, prepare, cleanse and transform data according to needs
• Communicate and create visualization of results
• Deploy methods and approaches for regular use in ongoing clinical trials


• PhD or MSc in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics or related life science field
• At least two years as a data scientist with significant time spend in pharma, biotech or similar sector
• Experienced in clinical data standards and terminology
• Experienced in applying predictive and advanced analytics and machine learning using Python or R
• Experience applying neural network methods using TensorFlow or Torch
• Experience working with data warehouses using SQL with knowledge of Oracle or SAP HANA
• Experience working with big data technologies and cloud environments like Spark, Hadoop, AWS, Azure, GCP
• Experienced in creating visualization with Spotfire, Tableau, R Shiny, matplotlib or others
• Experienced in profiling, cleaning and transformation of data
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in cross-functional teams
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
