Our Restructuring & Insolvency practice is looking for a Senior Associate to join our firm in a permanent position.

Borenius currently employs over 200 people and is one of the largest and most experienced law firms in Finland. We provide high quality services in all areas of law for our corporate clients. We have offices in Helsinki, Tampere, St. Petersburg, London and New York.

Our Restructuring & Insolvency practice focuses primarily on engagements related to the legal administration of companies undergoing bankruptcy, restructuring, or liquidation as well as voluntary arrangements and workouts. We are efficient and able to achieve results in demanding insolvency cases both as an adviser to creditors and debtors as well as an administrator on assignments with both domestic and international aspects. We are also known for having a mandate in all the most important insolvency cases in Finland. Securing going concern valuations is a key focus in our work.

The professionals of our Restructuring & Insolvency practice are located at our Helsinki and Tampere offices, and several of our engagements involve lawyers from both offices. Restructuring and insolvency is considered to be one of the core practice areas of the firm, and our Restructuring & Insolvency practice is consistently ranked as a top-tier practice in the most prestigious legal directories.

We expect from you

You already have more than four years of work experience in the field of restructuring and insolvency. You are able to perform challenging tasks under pressure, and you enjoy working intensively on the most complex restructuring and insolvency related assignments on the market, always striving to excel in everything you do. You are aiming to become, or you already are, a great lawyer and also have a keen interest in dispute resolution, corporate law, and business in general. We also expect you to have in-depth knowledge of Finnish bankruptcy and restructuring legislation.

As quality is always of the utmost importance in our work, you have demonstrated that you are capable of performing at a high level in your studies and/or early working life. Because of the type of work we handle, fluency in written and spoken Finnish and English is required.
