We are now looking for a Senior Analyst and an Analyst to join our Strategy and Business Development team in UPM Fibres. Both positions are based in Helsinki, Finland but Senior Analyst may locate also in Tampere, Finland.

What you’ll do
Collect qualitative and quantitative market data from various sources, monitor relevant trends and developments
Analyze implications to UPM and our businesses
Create synthesis, analysis, presentations and insights about markets, customers, competitors, and other relevant stakeholders
Provide decision making support to business unit and business area management
Drive and participate in development projects related to business insights and strategy in the Fibres business
In both positions, as a member of the Strategy and Business Development team for UPM Fibres, you will also support selected strategic topics and projects in Fibres businesses. You will work closely with a broader team and drive projects independently.
In the Senior Analyst, Market Intelligence & Strategy position your primary focus is on sustainable forestry and wood sourcing business intelligence. You are responsible for monitoring trends and developments relevant to the Finnish forestry and wood sourcing business environment, mainly in Finland and the Baltic Sea region. You will work closely with UPM Forest organization.
In the Analyst, Market Intelligence & Strategy position you will focus on global pulp market intelligence. You will follow development in the markets and trends relevant to the pulp market. You will work closely with UPM Pulp organization.
Who you are
You have a master’s degree in economics, engineering, natural sciences or equivalent
For senior position, you have 2-5 years of experience from business/market intelligence, business development, management consulting or equivalent
You have solid analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative
You bring analysis to clear and concise conclusions and insights
You have a creative and curious mind and willingness to learn and develop
You have great teamwork and communication skills
You have advanced English skills. For senior position, you have also fluent Finnish skills. Other languages are considered an asset.
