(Senior) AI and Analytics Engineer

We are now looking for an AI and Analytics Engineer(s) in UPM Sourcing to learn and grow with us. This is a permanent position, located in Wrocław, Poland or Helsinki / Tampere, Finland.

What you will do

• Designing, developing, and implementing AI and analytics solutions that support prioritized business objectives, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance

• Building and maintaining machine learning models and AI algorithms that enable faster decision-making and drive end-to-end process automation

• Staying up to date with AI trends, incorporating the latest technologies and methodologies into ongoing projects

• Supporting AI project lifecycle management, including use case identification, feasibility analysis, and model deployment, in collaboration with third-party providers

• Developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration from various sources

• Evaluating and integrating external data sources, market intelligence, and APIs to enhance data ecosystems and analytics capabilities

Who you are

• You are self-directed, responsible, proactive and doer with customer service mindset

• You are fluent in English and appreciate working in a truly international environment; other languages are considered beneficial

• You have master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering/Economics, Management Science or Mathematics and 3+ years of working experience in Sourcing / Source-to-Pay / Finance process organization in similar position

• You have strong experience in analytics and AI use case development, data engineering, database design and data storytelling through visual analytics

• You possess solid experience in cloud technologies, tools, and architecture; thorough understanding of Snowflake, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure platform, Azure AI services, Generative AI & LLMs, and Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps) is essential

• You have experience working with APIs and integrating external data sources and market information services into analytics solutions; experience with SAP or the Ariba data model in the Source-to-Pay process area is a great asset

• You are proficient in data engineering programming languages such as SQL and Python
