Financial Reporting team is responsible for transferring and reconciling financial data from accounting systems to reporting layer and proactively closing reporting error gaps. In addition to monthly reporting tasks, the team participates in quality work by providing expertise in accounting and reporting matters to Business partners and across Global Finance Organization, driving issue resolution and participating in projects.
Transferring and reconciling data between accounting and reporting layer
Understanding reporting and accounting system logic
Responsible for meeting compliance requirements in Valmet reporting area
Participating in ERP roll-out project
Training Valmet employees about reporting process, providing instructions and creating training material
Identifying and understanding requirements and gaps in solutions and effectively conducting change management
Identifying development needs of tools and processes
Responsible for maintaining Valmet GFO closing calendar
Working closely with Business Finance and other stakeholders
Providing ad-hoc analysis
Knowledge of accounting principles and standards
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and/or a recognized accounting qualification
Previous working experience (+5) within financial accounting and reporting
Knowledge and expertise with integrated finance systems (HFM; LN/SAP are an advantage)
Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
Ability to identify critical topics and process issues where necessary
Excellent team working and communication skills with ability to deliver complex messages in an effective way
Fluent in written and spoken English, competence in other languages is an advantage
Understanding of Valmet business model and way of working is an advantage.
Ability to work well under pressure and keep up positive attitude
