Eurofins Expert Services is part of the Eurofins Group. We offer versatile expert services, certification and product approval services, testing and inspection services.
We are now looking for a Segment Manger to our Building Structures business segment. Read more about the position and our company below.
Eurofins management system is de-centralised, non-bureaucratical and fast-moving, leaving a lot of room and responsibilities for the leadership of local businesses. Corporate level leaders assume a role of a shareholder towards the local management, according to the Leadership charter of Eurofins Group.

We are now looking for a Segment Manager to Building Structures business line. Segment Manager is accountable of the sales (not order intake) and product development & offering for structures (mechanical & fire resistance) used in construction industry at area of consultancy, testing, inspection and certification.

Segment Manager therefore is accountable for building and growing profitable business within customers of Eurofins Expert Services. The line consists several business lines which are: Wooden Structures, Concrete and steel structures and structural fire.
Typical customers are companies as Metsä Wood, UPM, Stora-Enso, Peikko Group, Ruukki Construction. Current business is around 4,3 m annually and targeted to grow with 5..10% CAGR. Team Size is 10 people.
Segment Manager reports to the Construction BUsiness unit MAnager, BUMA. BU construction consists 5 business segments. Operational resources are placed on horizontal lines at the matrix. Cooperation with operational laboratories and sales are playing essential role to reach success in this position.
You are responsible for sales, product development and leading a team of ten professionals that all are experts in their own fields.

Main responsibilities in the area of Building Structures:

* Change management
* People management (~10 experts in the team)
* Business segment sales leadership (sales as target perimeter (account management holding order intake perimeter))
* Business Development initiatives,
* Sales support activities
* New offering development and supplier management,
* Essential internal and external stakeholder management.

Business Segment Manager is required to take entrepreneur-like approach in building the business and especially product offering, customer account and product management in his/her area.
Production of the services can be scale up and can utilize already existing laboratory network. Main bottleneck in growing the business is to manage business from individual transactions to volume sales. In addition, sales support activity requires boosting.

We are looking for a person that has a Master´s degree in technical field and few years´experience of similar working tasks. We hope you have leadership experience and ambition to drive business forward.
