Secondary Packaging Material Specialist / Project Engineer
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • You are responsible for improving and maintaining the secondary packaging materials and the packaging process within the secondary packaging department • Your job includes the technical design, material selection and testing of inserts, sales and transportation packaging in production together with experts in other functions. • You coordinate changes and improvement activities in the secondary packaging department related to packaging materials and maintain the related technical documentation. • In addition, you participate in other changes and improvement activities as they relate to materials. • You interact with material suppliers and participate in supplier audits as a specialist. • The tasks vary based on active projects, changes and improvement activities in the department. You report to the Production Manager. • Depending on your background the job description can be adjusted with other project related tasks as well.
WHO YOU ARE • You have a Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in applicable field and at least 5 years of working experience with packaging materials (preferably cardboard and paper), technical design and packaging equipment. • You are familiar with the quality and documentation guidelines in the pharmaceutical business (e.g. cGMP) and you have experience in managing projects and changes in international industrial environment. • You possess good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills and communicate fluently in English and Finnish language, in written and spoken form. • You are creative and able to solve problems with high tolerance for pressure in unforeseeable situations. • Knowledge of printing, labeling and machine vision technology is an advantage. Also, we appreciate previous experience with IT systems like SAP and CAD.
