ABOUT THE POSITION
The Sales & Operations Specialist is a dynamic and dual-focused role responsible for driving sales growth and ensuring efficient operations within the freight forwarding company. In this role you will split your time evenly between sales activities and operations activities, contributing to both customer acquisition and the smooth execution of logistics services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES ACTIVITIES (50%)
Customer Acquisition:
-Target clients through networking, cold calling, and events.
-Maintain relationships for repeat business and referrals.
Sales Strategy:
-Develop and execute sales plans.
-Stay updated on industry trends and competitors.
Proposals & Quotations:
-Prepare and present quotations and proposals.
-Negotiate terms with clients.
Sales Reporting:
-Maintain CRM records.
-Provide sales reports and forecasts.
Collaboration:
-Work with marketing on promotions.
-Participate in sales meetings.
OPERATIONS ACTIVITIES (50%)
Shipment Coordination:
-Coordinate with clients, carriers, and customs brokers.
-Manage shipment schedules and compliance.
Documentation:
-Prepare and process shipping documents.
-Ensure accuracy to prevent delays.
Logistics Optimization:
-Implement efficiency improvements.
-Analyze shipment data for trends.
Customer Service:
-Address inquiries and resolve shipment issues.
-Inform clients of shipment status.
Compliance:
-Ensure regulatory compliance.
-Mitigate operational risk.

We are looking for you with experience in the logistics and freight forwarding sector. You are proficient in both Finnish and English and possess a driver's license.

We are located in newly renovated open office space with a good atmosphere and great colleagues.
Remote work: Hybrid model with flexibility to work from home 2 days a week.
Flexibility: Occasional after-hours work required.
Travels: Office-based with some travel nationally and internationally.
