In our expanding Electric Vehicle systems business line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and off-highway applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.
For our EVBL we are looking for an organized and structured Sales Manager with strong communication skills, who likes to take responsibility and works self-dependent, knowing how to drive and to follow-up tasks in order to execute in timely manner and meet targets.
Job description
Your main objective is to manage and drive the sales process of new and especially of change and claim management opportunities with automotive OEMs. Thus you contribute significantly in accomplishing our strategic and commercial goals and take an important role in supporting the growth of our EVBL. You know how to prioritize and focus, while managing various and individual quotations, always keeping the big picture in mind.
- Manage, process and file customer documents throughout quotation process
- Handle OEM’s supplier portals with uploading and downloading documents and data
- Review contract documents and manage all contractual topics with support of legal department and find solutions with customer
- Prepare and send quote letters and negotiate with customer
- Review and discuss quote content with customer
- Responsible for change and claim management with customer before and after SOP
- Responsible for updating reporting templates, internal and with customer
- Manage leads, content and sales process in Salesforce
- Understand commercial targets of customer and how they correlate to market prices
- Keep good relationship with all internal functional units and make sure your quote process is matching customer timeline and is answering customer needs and requests
- Lead and support business case calculations and the corresponding cost breakdowns
- Align closely with your main interfaces in Product Management and Project Management
- Identify and communicate to Product Management all product relevant trends within customer organizations
- Put together commercial presentations for internal use as well as for customer meetings and give directions and/or support the preparation of technical presentations
- Drive and support continuous improvement of all Sales relevant topics incl. the Sales Process
- Attend and support trade shows, conferences and other industry networking events
Qualification and experience
- Sound commercial and technical qualification
- Experienced in sales and automotive processes with a proven track record with a Tier1, preferably in the e-mobility environment and with German Premium OEMs
- Strong customer orientation with the ability to align customer targets with internal priorities
- Distinguished communication, networking and negotiation skills
- Know to build sound relationships and understand to translate customer needs into quote process
- Hands-on mentality and open-minded, paired with a flexible, self-driven and solution focused working style to cope with a fast-growing work environment
- Skilled with MS Office, especially with Excel and PPT
- English fluent in speaking and writing, German would be a welcome asset
- Located in Finland Salo / Uusikaupunki
- Travelling within Germany / Finland max. 20%
