We’re looking for a sales manager for our Digitalization products and services. Bittium’s high-end technical offering requires a person with a strong penchant for engineering, but whose natural instincts for sales have ultimately won the battle of forces. We’re looking for someone with fresh enthusiasm but also with some useful experience on the work in practice, since the work will be carried out independently. In the position, you would get to maintain customer relationships from frail leads to contract phase, and beyond. Even after the deal is made, you would keep a close eye on customer satisfaction, monitoring and managing the quality aspects of product and service delivery. In practice, you would always be the customer’s trusted go-to guy or gal at Bittium.
You would handle the whole variety of B2B sales work of your assigned segment and area. For this purpose you must already know the ropes on generating and qualifying leads, sourcing and developing customer referrals, preparing sales strategies, and action plans. You would conduct direct marketing activities and develop and maintain your customer database. For creating and updating promotional materials you would get support from Bittium’s Marketing team. Of course in every step of the way the whole Bittium Sales team would be your mentor, coach and cheerleader.
Developing sales proposals and contracts, negotiating with clients, and sealing the deals would be your moment to shine. In the background you would maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports, analyze the market and competitors, keep up with technology and product development, make customer surveys, and keep the management up-to-date.
To be chosen for this position you need to be goal driven, possess suitable education and substantial experience in sales. Systematic way of working, Knowledge and interest in technical applications and digital sales platforms is needed. As a person you need to be naturally extrovert and have good social skills in English and Finnish to enjoy making presentations and attend sales events. You should also have a good mental tool kit, e.g. persuasiveness, adaptability, negotiation skills, resilience, and ability to thrive in situations that others may feel stressful.
