We are now looking for a
SALES MANAGER
to join our Tampere Department Store. The dynamic team at Tampere Department Store consists of the Department Store Director, Sales Managers and other key personnel, and of course, merchants, -as we like to say - who are true experts in their fields. Together, we aim to exceed customer expectations every single day and create feelings that lasts.
Where is your expertise needed?
As a Sales Manager, you will lead your sales team in alignment with Stockmann values, leadership principles, and strategy, acting as a passionate ambassador of the Merchant Mindset.
You are responsible of executing and developing seamless customer experience and you work as a true ambassador of customer centricity. You will be part of the Merchant Unit management team, and you will take holistic responsibility of common omni - business profitability, growth and development (P&L, CX, EVI) ensuring both your own area of responsibility and the overall perspective of the entire department store are aligned and optimized. You will work closely with external stakeholders (like tenants and brand representatives) executing and developing department store’s sales and customer experience in everyday operations.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
P&L responsibility
Taking care of team’s customer centric culture and ways of working
Developing customer understanding and proactively finding ways to create feelings that last
Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to reach their best potential
You will make sure that positive thinking, appreciation, diversity and co-operation is embedded into the organization way of working.
This is a permanent position and includes shift work based on the department store's opening hours.
What makes you succeed in this role?
You have already been working in sales management for few years and you have gained knowledge and experience in retail and sales. You have commercial education that gives you also good understanding and backbone. You have previous experience as a people leader / supervisor and you have succeeded to lead and motivate people. You are used to working in shifts according to the retail business principles and run the daily execution with a systematic hands-on approach.

You speak Finnish and English fluently, other languages are seen as a plus. It is really a must that you understand how retail operations work.
