Norsepower offers solutions for reducing the environmental impact of shipping and is looking for technically oriented Sales Managers.
Norsepower’s Rotor Sail Solution is a mechanical sail which harnesses the wind to reduce the ship’s fuel consumption and emissions. It is the first commercially available auxiliary wind propulsion solution with a proven track record of successful operation since 2014. Norsepower’s sales operations cover all phases from the case study preparation to the closing of the sales contract. Each project is tailored according to the client’s needs and preferences.
In this role, your main responsibility as a Sales Manager is to execute the sales and marketing strategy and achieve the sales targets. Majority of customers are located in Europe, Asia and the Americas. You will independently manage customer relationships and lead sales projects from technical feasibility studies to commercial negotiations. Besides these, you will participate in marketing activities and development of sales operations and documentation. Your main tools include Norsepower’s CRM system and Microsoft Office software. Customer meetings are both virtual and in person meetings requiring travelling.
To succeed in this position, you should have at least a couple of years of experience in technical sales. Knowledge of the marine industry is highly valued. You work in close collaboration with a variety of customers, so we assume you have good communication skills and the ability to work with different nationalities and cultures. You have a proactive approach and the ability to understand the business also from the customer’s perspective. You are always eager to learn and develop yourself and you enjoy working in a fast-growing company. Norsepower values a customer-focused hands-on attitude and readiness to travel around the world!
We require you to have:
A strong technical background (B.Sc/M.Sc)
Several years of relevant work experience in B2B sales
Ability to talk about customer’s technical needs
Experience working in the international business environment
Willingness to travel
Be fully proficient in English, other languages are a benefit
