We are looking for smart, humble and fearless people to join our Sales Engineering team. Equinix is now looking for you to join our dynamic and growing team as a Sales Engineer based in our Helsinki office, and we will provide you the tools to develop a successful career.

As an Equinix Sales Engineer your main responsibility will be selling Equinix solutions to new accounts as well as expanding our existing ones, with a focus on small to mid-size accounts.

Responsibilities

Technical Consulting and Sales Support

  • You will identify customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements and maps to Equinix solutions
  • You will utilize your understanding of Equinix products and services to deliver pitch on Equinix solutions
  • You will analyse situations and data on problems of moderate scope
  • You will provide full support for small to mid-size customer meetings as well as tours Solution Design and Deliverables
  • You will provide technical solution design expertise to all assigned Sales Account Executives
  • You will exercise judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine the appropriate solution
  • You will support RFI/P/Q preparation as requested by Sales Representatives
  • You will develop all deliverables for the customer with occasional oversight from Sales Engineering Management and/or peers

Customer Service

  • You will communicate with customers (internal and external) in a professional, friendly and effective manner, both verbally and in writing
  • You will support pre-sales efforts for all company products and services and deliver good technical support in sales presentations, customer meetings and trade shows

Business and Market Expertise

  • You will demonstrate a basic understanding of Equinix data center, Network, and Cloud products and services
  • You will assist sales teams in efforts to earn new business and maintain existing customer relationships
  • You will collaborate closely with internal teams (CSM, OM, IM, Ops, etc.) to ensure smooth project transition from pre-sales to post-sales

Who you are

  • Active participant in cultivating positive culture on the team
  • Possesses basic industry knowledge and familiarity with the competitive landscape Collaboration / Communication
  • Demonstrating good presentation skills and comfortable presenting to Team Leadership
  • Comfortable providing feedback on various business opportunities and issues
  • Excellent communication skills, in both English and Finnish
