Risk Management specialists work as a team of Risk Consultants across the Nordic countries and Internationally, focusing mainly on four areas; Property and Business Interruption, Cargo, Liability, Health & Safety.

Most of our clients are large multinational organizations that set very high standards for their Risk Management operations. Our close co-operation with our clients has provided us with a solid foundation for assisting the industry in reducing exposures to loss. Based on this experience we provide pragmatic, tailored solutions to our industrial clients' needs and operations throughout the world.

We are looking for a Property Risk Engineer to join our global If Risk Management Team of more than 40 Risk Engineers.

The role:

As a Risk Engineer, you will be working primarily with property and business interruption risks. You will be conducting risk assessments and client consultations to improve the clients’ risks and to deliver information to our underwriting. You will also participate in development projects within the Risk Engineering area.

In this role you will have an excellent opportunity to work with Nordic large companies to improve their risk management and to help them run their businesses without interruptions.

The position gives a broad view to the Finnish and Nordic large companies and their operations globally.

The position is based in Espoo, however, travelling to other countries is expected. Working with us, you will be able to plan and organize your work independently and in close cooperation with your local and Nordic colleagues.

Who you are:

  • A suitable Master level academic degree, e.g. in engineering or similar work experience
  • Risk engineering experience from insurance industry or equivalent.
  • If is the choice of several clients within heavy and process industry and therefore candidates with solid experience and engineering degree within this type of industry (e.g. chemical, machinery, pulp and paper or energy sector) is equally of interest.
  • We appreciate excellent understanding and knowledge of corporate risk management needs, project risk management, sprinkler standards and other loss prevention standards. Understanding business interruption and dependency risks is a valuable asset.
  • Highly developed social and communication skills with the ability and desire to work with our network of contacts in the market both locally and internationally.
  • Self-motivated and proactive work ethics.
  • Good analytical skills and a good team player.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English is expected, other languages are a bonus
