Risk and control coordinator

RISK AND CONTROL COORDINATOR

This position is full-time and permanent with flexible working hours. You would be working in Controls and Risks team lead by Control and Assurance Analyst Lena Nieminen.

Controls and Risks team supports Euroclear Finland’s organization by ensuring relevant controls are defined and regularly assessed. The work includes also documentation of controls and risks in collaboration especially with business and risk management. We are looking for someone who is happy to network across departments and is motivated to learn more about controls and risks. You may already have relevant work experience related to controls and risks, or maybe you are finishing your studies and looking for an interesting direction for your career.

Although each day for our new risk and control coordinator will be different, the main responsibilities you will be working with are:

• Supporting the creation of controls and continuously enhancing and updating the control system

• Improving the control environment by supporting business to mitigate existing risks

• Performing specific reviews of the internal control system to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls

• Documenting weaknesses and suggesting corrective actions

• Taking an active role in tracking and monitoring the performance against identified risks in collaboration with business 

 The person we are looking for should ideally have:

• Previous office work experience and knowledge of Office 365 tools

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in Finnish and in English

• Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment

• Keen interest in developing yourself and understanding the big picture

• Experience and/or understanding of the financial industry and the securities post trade industry is an advantage
