We are looking for a Researcher, Traffic energy solutions to join our Product Testing team in Innovation function in Porvoo.

We are offering an interesting and challenging position in an innovative and capable group of experts taking the development work of future cleaner fuels further. This position provides an opportunity to develop yourself into a versatile expert and to network with both internal and external stakeholders of Neste.
The work in R&D unit is performed in development projects together with Neste business units, e.g. with technical services, refining and marketing organizations. Teamwork between different experts and laboratories as well as with internal and external partners is essential in this position. Additionally, this position includes cooperation activities with different stakeholders.
In your role, you will

  • Work in close collaboration with our experts in R&D projects
  • Plan, organise, lead and report internal and external test campaigns
  • Participate in development and investment projects of our laboratory
  • Cooperate with different stakeholders and participate in technical working groups

We have a medium sized  team of experts working in Product Testing. Our team is responsible for technical expertise related to engines and vehicles, testing of novel fuels in real applications, following up on vehicle emission legislation and providing test fuel samples. We also support Neste business units in their product and application specific technical information needs. 
Keys to success in this role
The best combination of experiences, skills and background is

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in vehicle or engine technology 
  • Strong background in experimental testing and various measuring techniques
  • Preferably 2 years of relevant work experience from R&D
  • Cooperative team player attitude with excellent social skills
  • Ability to actively seek solutions and innovate
  • Fluent written and spoken English in addition to good command of Finnish

The recruitment process includes interviews and aptitude testing. The first interviews are preliminary scheduled to take place on week 10.

The person selected for the position must pass a health examination including a drug test. A security clearance is obtained for the persons with their consent.
