Your research will be part of the Coherent security research program, and you will concentrate on ethics, societal impact assessment (SIA) and legal issues in the context of civil safety and security solutions and issues. You will apply for funding for research, development and innovation (RDI) projects and lead the projects, conduct research and publish, and supervise theses of Laurea students.
You RDI focus will be on ethical, SIA and legal issues and research ethics in civilian safety and security context. The emphasis is on evaluation and research that supports to develop solutions and measures for technical products together with practitioners, industry, academics and NGOs at national and EU level. The research and project topics require knowledge of research ethics and ethical and legal requirements (e.g. GDPR, EU Charter on Fundamental Rights, EU ethics standards) in the development of security solutions and methods. Your work will benefit from the networks and cooperation with Finnish and international partners already established by Laurea University of Applied Sciences and your contribution to the networks is a strong point.
You will be based in Espoo or Vantaa according to your choice. More information on the researcher track at Laurea University of Applied Sciences.
