Researcher, Pilot Research and Refining
We are now looking for a Researcher, Pilot Research and Refining to join the Catalysts and Refining department in Neste Innovation function. The position is permanent and is located in Technology Centre, Kilpilahti industrial area in Porvoo.
Your part in Neste journey
The Catalysts and Refining department is responsible for creation of new catalytic production technologies as well as development and optimization of present processes. There are five teams in Catalysts and Refining department: Catalysis Research, Process Research, Pilot Research and Refining, Refining chemistry, and Manage and Maintain Assets.
In your role, you will take part in our R&D projects and oil refinery tasks as a researcher in Pilot Research and Refining team. You will plan, supervise and report pilot scale experiments made for process development, catalysts evaluation and problem solving. You will get familiar with our pilot scale test equipment operation and be involved in equipment and process safety development activities. Depending on your earlier experience you will also take part in process concept design and modelling activities and later on work as a project manager.
The keys to success in this position
The best combination of experiences, skills and background is
- Master's or higher university degree in chemical engineering
- Knowledge of process equipment techniques
- Basics of oil refining processes, biobased feedstocks and fractionation
- 3-5 years of experience in similar kind of work
- Hands-on attitude
- Good cooperation and communication skills
- Full professional proficiency in English
We also value
- Earlier experience of operation in pilot or production scale
- Knowledge of chemometric methods
- Project management skills
- Experience of Lean Six Sigma methods
- Desire for continuous professional development
