With us you will be responsible for

You will participate in the development of open source energy systems modelling software. Our tools enable comprehensive analysis of energy systems with high shares of variable renewable power generation and increasing demand side participation. The tools are used to explore cost efficient pathways to address climate change and other environmental concerns related to energy in different parts of the world. Your first responsibilities will include development of data acquisition and data processing components to our modelling toolbox. Later your responsibilities may widen depending on your skills and interests.

We expect you to have

An appropriate M.Sc. (Tech.) or corresponding degree to provide a suitable background for further personal development in the work. You can also be a nearly graduated student with relevant performed studies and work experience. We expect good understanding of open source software development and willingness to learn about energy systems and renewable energy. Experience with data analysis in Python, Julia or R, high-performance computing and working with big data is a merit. English language skills are important. Previous work experience in energy systems is not required but would be a significant asset.
