Research Scientist, Analytics, inorganic chemistry

Kemira R&D and Technology is a critical enabler within Kemira, securing organic growth, sustainable solutions and further differentiation in the market through co-creation and innovation with our customers. We are now looking for a Research Scientist to join our global R&D, Analytics team.

You will work as an inorganic and analytical chemistry expert with various projects and tasks related to water management and sustainable resource use. You design experiments, produce and interpret experimental results and prepare reports, patents and publications. Also, you contribute to method development, technology scouting, and are responsible for ICP-MS and X-ray analysis.

What you need: 

  • Degree (Ph.D.; M.Sc.) in analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry or in similar discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in the area of inorganic analytical chemistry. ICP, XR and SEM is an advantage
  • An ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and strong analyzing/decision making skills and a hands-on attitude
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and you are a team-player
  •  Experience in water-intensive processes or project management is an advantage
  • Innovative and open mindset and you enjoy working in a collaborative cross-functional international environment
  •  Fluency in English
