Do you want to join a globally leading printed electronics development team focusing on new renewable electronics technologies, environmentally friendly additive electronics manufacturing processes, technologies enabling IoT, as well as novel methodologies for wellness and healthcare? In our group, you will be on the cutting edge of new technologies involving novel materials, processes and multidisciplinary product applications. As part of our team, you will work with emerging manufacturing technologies for new product applications. Collaboration with companies, aiming to exploit our technologies, will give an additional insight to your work. This job is a unique opportunity for you to join a field of technology on the cusp of commercial exploitation.

With us, you will be responsible for developing and operating roll-to-roll printing lines for novel product applications based on printed electronics. Your focus will be planning the design and development work, as well as hands on work. Together with our talented team, you will contribute to our technology developments by not only building up and establishing methodologies capable of roll-to-roll printing, but also processing novel materials and device structures for conversion to real products.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Being a head/key member in the development of our printed electronics research facilities
  • Planning, design and development of roll-to-roll technologies for novel product concepts
  • Operating our pilot facilities

We expect you to have

  • a suitable educational background and experience in the field
  • good knowledge about design, development and realization of R2R or similar manufacturing lines
  • an open mind set for new developments and a willingness to work with novel ideas
  • good spoken and written capabilities in English

Our research team specializes in renewable energy, especially OPV and perovskite solar cells, printed electronics processing and product development, as well as enabling technologies for healthcare and well-being.
