We are currently looking to recruit a

Research and Development Director

In this role you will lead development projects focusing on analytical instruments for life science research and environmental monitoring. Reporting to the General Manager your main duties will include:

  • Management of product development projects across the project life cycle
  • Define, describe and develop product development processes to ensure efficiency and requirements of Hidex's quality system
  • Leadership and management of the R&D team and related partners
  • Assessing the level of competence as well as training of R&D personnel and taking care of their development
  • Prepare budgets for the projects and monitor expenses

In addition you will provide leadership and oversight to ensure the development of all operations across Hidex and work closely with multiple stakeholders representing and promoting Hidex at conferences, webinars and client/partner meetings. 

You possess an academic degree in physics, engineering or other related field. You have a proven track record from research and development function and strong project management skills. All prior knowledge in radiation detection or optical measuring procedures will be to your advantage. As this is a supervisor role, you have experience in people management and you are able to demonstrate experience of leading a team of multi-disciplinary experts providing scientific direction and support. You are a proactive team player with drive, initiative and ambition.
