About the role

You are responsible of ensuring the smooth deployment of OP's new software releases. Together with the team and other stakeholders you are planning and describing the content of new releases, planning and resourcing deployment, monitoring pre-production environment, following implementation, handling post-deployment defects and planning corrective actions. By identifying dependencies, possible problems and risks you maximize the safety of uninterrupted production. You work intensively with OP's technical development team (Software Developers, Test Engineers, Tech Leads, Product Owners) and an extensive partner network.

We strive to automate releases as much as possible. You are involved in the development of release automation in your service area. You are taking steps to remove dependencies and make releases more agile. In this role, you are also involved in promoting Agile ways of working and DevOps.

What we hope from you

You have experience in similar tasks, and you have worked for example in release management, testing or as a technical project manager. You have a good basic knowledge of data management tools, version control tools and methods as well as installation and test automation. You have experience with service management processes. You are used to using agile software development methods (Agile, DevOps)

You have excellent collaboration and networking skills and you know how to lead change and involve stakeholders. Even under a small pressure, you can take things forward in a solution-oriented way. The actual installations are done by our partners, so it helps if you have experience in vendor management. In work-related matters you communicate fluently in English. Finnish skills are an advantage, but not mandatory.
