Howden provides high quality air and gas handling products and services to the power, oil & gas, mining, petrochemical and general industries - just to mention a few. 

Howden also provides a comprehensive range of aftermarket services and spares, and due to growth within these areas we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for the Aftermarket business in Finland.   As Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for the sales development in Finland where you will build and develop relationships with existing customers as well as attract new customers in various industry segments (Oil/gas/petrochemical/Waste to Energy etc). You will be a part of an international company and will be reporting directly to the Business Development Director.   The successful candidate will: 
  • Explore customer needs and propose technical solutions. 
  • Conduct market analysis, find opportunities and ensure that solutions and quotations for clients are prepared in due time. 
  • Manage the negotiation process.
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders (various business unit sales, departments). 
The job requires business trips mainly within Finland, but international travel can occur as well. Travelling is expected to be around 80 to 100 days per year.   Preferred qualifications and personal profile: 
  • A relevant technical background
  • A proven track record from a similar position
  • Strong sales skills and experience within technical sales. - Ideally with technical background within heavy rotating equipment – or an industry of similar technical complexity.
  • The ability to understand and interact in a large organisation with great diversity and cultural differences
We imagine that you come with at least five years of professional experience from sales or business development within a technical area or in the industrial sector.  You should be open to listen to customers, look for creative solutions and set breakthrough objectives. The perfect candidate has strong business development skills, is well organized, goal oriented, a strong negotiator and able to work independently.   We can offer:
