The University of the Arts Helsinki (Uniarts Helsinki) strives to be a socially active contributor with a strong identity and a wide international appeal. You, as the Rector, will have a significant role in fulfilling this aim. You will be supported by an organisation with long-running traditions. 

Our future Rector is a visionary leader with a profound understanding of the arts and familiarity with the university world as a work environment. You are an energising, inspiring, open and cooperative bridge-builder within the university community and in your cooperation with Finnish and international partners. You have sufficient language skills to work both inside and outside of Finland. You are an open-minded proponent for the arts, a social commentator and a bold figurehead for the university. You are capable of executing change in an expert organisation. Diverse management experience, cooperation skills and the ability to listen to the community are some of your valued qualities. We also expect you to have a Master’s degree suited for the position; a doctoral degree is considered an advantage.
