We are looking for a R&D project manager to join our growing R&D team in Fortum Waste Solutions Business Development unit. You will be working with experienced colleagues with deep expertise in recycling and waste treatment solutions in close cooperation with business units and sales organization. As a part of R&D team you will prepare, coordinate and implement wide range of different size business and customer driven R&D projects as well as participate in development projects and research cooperation with our external partners.

You have strong skills in project management as well as industrial R&D processes and you have a track record of managing complex projects. Your own specialty area is material recycling processes, environmental technology, material technology and/or chemistry. Knowledge related to plastics and/or metals, industrial background in work history and previous experience in public funding sources is advantage.
We expect academic degree in environmental technology, material technology or chemistry. We expect you to have an analytical mind, systematic and unprompted working method and the ability to process large amounts of complex information as well as to draw clear conclusions. We also value the ability to develop and conceptualize new ideas towards piloting and commercialization. You have good communication and presentation skills as well as networking skills both externally and internally. Fluency in Finnish and English is necessary, Swedish is an advantage.
