We are strengthening our R&D operations and currently looking for a passionate
R&D MANAGER
to take the ownership of R&D operations at Canatu. In this new role, you will act as R&D operators’ front-line manager and through your leadership, you will enable the operators to carry out their work effectively and safely in the newly established function. You will be responsible for resource planning and scheduling, and you will also set priorities and sequences according to business needs and in conjunction with R&D Engineers and other stakeholders. You will additionally have an important role in defining and developing work instructions and procedures to ensure the achievement of operational short and long-term R&D goals.
This is an interesting and professional challenging position in an international working environment where you have the chance to leave a mark on Canatu’s R&D operations. This is a new role and offers a unique possibility to adjust responsibilities according to your interests and competencies. In this role, you will report to VP, Engineering.
Responsibilities
Provides leadership and manages day-to-day activities and the flow of work for the team
Defines and develops processes, procedures, and instructions to ensure an efficient and safe working environment for R&D operators
Plans R&D schedule and operations, establishing priorities and sequences for products. Ensures quality of products meet specifications.
Identifies new process techniques and initiates resolution of technical, unusual, or complex problems or issues to prevent operational delays. Liaisons with vendors for support services.
Works in close collaboration with Manufacturing Manager to ensure aligned working practices
Our expectations for you
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years’ experience in managing technical staff in a relevant industrial context. Cleanroom and 5S related experience considered as a plus.
Proven track record and success in a similar role in a fast-paced working environment.
Ability to work across organization and with other teams to enhance collaboration.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in a timely manner.
Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
