R&D Engineer

We are currently looking for a professional Research & Development Engineer to join MM Kotkamills’ Consumer Boards R&D team in Kotka

In Product development engineer’s role, you will have the following responsibilities:

·         Plan, implement and report of new product development projects

·         Coordinate laboratory, pilot and industrial scale development trials

·         Collaborate with current and potential raw material and chemical suppliers together with R&D team members

·         Support global customers’ product development projects together with technical customer service team

·         Support key account customers to build sustainable future with Kotkamills’ paperboards by innovative product offering

·         Ensure that quality and legislative customer requests are fulfilled in new product developments

·         Tightly collaborate internally with production, sales and Technical Customer Service

What do we expect from you?

We are looking for a Master of Science or similar education, previous experience may substitute education. You should have experience and proven success in R&D, production or technical service. Experience within paperboard and/or packaging industry, especially coating technology knowhow, is seen as a benefit. be an open-minded team player, who has eagerness to learn and develop yourself. Proactive and positive attitude will help you to perform in this role. You should also have good communication skills. Excellent English skills are required, both written and spoken. Other language skills are seen as an advantage.
