We are looking for a R&D Engineer to join Vaisala’s R&D Engineering team in Vantaa. In this role, your main responsibility is to maintain and develop industrial product offering together with the team. The position is permanent, and the start date can as soon as possible but also it can be after holidays in August. Recruitment partner is Barona Engineering.
As a R&D Engineer your main responsibilities will include:
- product testing and laboratory work
- multidisciplinary problem solving
- technical support for other functions inside company and external stakeholders.
The tasks are very varied. For example, you participate in verifying new features, solving various problems, supporting customers, and solving production challenges from an R&D perspective. It is part of the nature of the work that the necessary facilities are not necessarily ready but are developed as needed.
We expect you to have a M.Sc. or B. Eng. degree in engineering and experience in working in product maintenance and product development projects. You have a broad understanding of electronics and measurement technology. The role also requires a good command of English, proficiency in Finnish is considered an advantage.
To succeed in this role, you are a problem solver who is interested in hands on work with different industrial instruments. You are a team player who communicates effectively and collects and shares knowledge actively with others. On top of that you have initiative attitude, capability to manage parallel assignments and to achieve quick results when necessary. However, the workload is well balanced, and you can focus on each task well.
