We are now looking for an R&D Chemist to assist with developing new immunoassay products for the healthcare. The R&D Chemist works as part of R&D project team creating, implementing or modifying laboratory tests. The R&D Chemist also guides team members in matters related to laboratory tests, analyzes data and documents results according to the Quality Management System.
In our department, we develop new products or support product maintenance projects. For the R&D Chemist this involves solving complex problems within development projects, taking new perspective using existing solutions and challenging the old ways to also improve our own processes. Effective collaboration with different functions both in Radiometer Turku and Radiometer Medical in Copenhagen is also needed. We can promise that the tasks will bring a new lesson every day.
We are a team of 8 R&D Chemists, and in total, we have 50 employees in R&D.
This position is permanent and based in Turku, Finland.
We expect from you
To have BSc or MSc in Life Sciences or chemistry engineering.
Conceptual knowledge of sandwich immunoassays or other specified field, and capability to broaden skills to other laboratory methods and immunoassay concepts
Technical writing skills
Readiness to communicate own ideas and issues in teamwork environment, good teamwork skills
Fluent English (proficient in written and spoken language)
Experience in new product development in IVD, pharma or other regulated industry is an advantage
