Are you a driven QAE looking for the opportunity to make an impact on the execution and performance of our projects?

Within Pulp & Energy’s Global Quality Assurance team, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to work on capital and rebuild projects.

You will be located in Valmet’s Ulvila office. In our global organization you will also co-operate a lot virtually or travel to meet your colleagues and other stakeholders, who might be in different locations in Finland or abroad.

This role is an important part of the project organization and your main responsibility area is the coordination of quality related issues with own organization as well as customers, suppliers and authorities worldwide.

As Quality Assurance Engineer, you will

  • communicate the quality related requirements to project parties.
  • coordinate QA issues in all project phases, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site assembly.
  • do the handling of nonconformities.
  • also be responsible for influencing the project’s financial outcome by proactive approach to project quality.

Expectations:

We expect you to have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a suitable field. You have several years of experience in engineering, manufacturing or inspections of machinery and pressure equipment’s. Also, you have experience in quality assurance in manufacturing or project business and knowledge of Machinery and Pressure Equipment Directives. NDT (non-destructive testing) and welding knowledge are strongly appreciated.

Your personal characteristics include good communication skills, initiative and flexibility. You can co-operate in multi-cultural environment and are fluent in English, both written and spoken. You should also be able to travel internationally.
