Purchaser

Together with our client company we are looking for a Purchaser to join Tata Steel’s team. This is a permanent full-time position located in Naantali, Southwest Finland.

Key responsibilities

In the Purchaser’s role your main responsibility is to purchase steel material from internal and external suppliers, follow up delivery processes and control the material flow. Your job is to ensure that Naantali Steel Service Centre has the right material and enough material in their stock. As a Purchaser you control deliveries and monitor the stock levels by ensuring the levels do not increase too high. You are also responsible of overseeing arrival of shipments and tracking missing material. To ensure smooth operations, you work and communicate continuously with the sales, finance, management, and production teams. You also participate in Tata Steel’s development and optimization projects.

Change is always present at Tata Steel, so we hope you are interested in developing the business and yourself and have a curious and positive attitude. 

Our requirements

• We hope you have a bachelor's degree from a technical field (e.g. engineer)
• Work experience in technical or commercial environment - knowledge of steel industry is considered beneficial
• An entrepreneurial spirit - you strive for better results on your daily work 
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make decisions quickly
• Experience with modern ERP-system, preferably with SAP
• Fluent communication skills in Finnish and in English
