Purchase Engineer, Life Cycle Services
Your main task is purchasing components, products, and equipment for BMH’s Life Cycle Service business.
You are responsible for correct and on-time deliveries within the purchase process, ensuring competitive cost level with efficient bidding process, handling claims process with suppliers and selecting suitable suppliers according to technical, quality, price and schedule related requirements. You also participate in long term co-operation development and contract negotiation with suppliers, supplier base control and development and in company’s internal co-operation and process development.
We expect you to have a technical education (e.g. degree in engineering) and/or similar suitable background and hope for a few years of experience in procurement and contract negotiations in metal industry, as well as working with ERP systems. Experience in the fields of manufacturing or procurement of machinery, mechanical and steel components and steel structures is considered as an advantage. Experience in supplier evaluation and quality control is valued.
