Neste Engineering Solutions Porvoo is now looking for

Project Procurement Manager (PPM)

PPM has the overall responsibility for procurement activities in the project: carving out the essential for the procurement strategy, planning the purchases and managing resourcing for different procurement activities. PPM shall be part of Neste Engineering Solutions Procurement organization but work in a key role in the projects, as part of the project management team. In this role you will collaborate closely with Project Management, Project Control, Engineering, Construction Management, Suppliers, Contractors and Clients.

Main tasks will include:

  • Planning of project procurement activities incl. scheduling
  • Ensuring that Client’s requirements for procurement are implemented in to project
  • Acting as an interface between NES Project Manager and Client’s procurement organization to ensuring that procurement activities are performed in compliance with a project plan
  • Collaborating with Expediting to ensuring  timely and correct deliveries by Suppliers
  • Following up, coordinating and reporting project procurement progress
  • Acting as procurement focal point of contact for project stakeholders

This role is a leadership role requiring number of skills like decision making, negotiation skills and stakeholder management. This job offers excellent opportunity to learn and develop procurement competences in demanding and interesting process industry investment environment. Parallel to this PPM will get acquainted with international and globally growing company. Expected qualifications:

  • The applicant should have either commercial or technical B.Sc. or M.Sc. education
  • The applicant is expected to have purchasing and/or sourcing experience related to technical goods (equipment or materials) or services. Prior working experience in investment projects is highly appreciated
  • Ideal candidate is able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Leadership and management skills, ability to see the whole, systematic way of working, and self-confidence are prerequisites for success in this job
  • Knowledge and experience of Lean -system is appreciated
  • Fluent English and Finnish, both written and oral is a must
  • Willingness to travel

The position is located in our head office in Porvoo, Kilpilahti industrial area, only some 30 minutes away from Helsinki city center by car. We also arrange free bus transportation for our employees from Helsinki, Porvoo and the surrounding areas. The person selected must pass a health examination including a drug test. Security clearance is obtained for the person with their consent.
